Headlight restoration in Jacksonville, FLClear lenses, brighter nights.

Florida sun turns plastic headlight lenses cloudy and yellow. We take the damaged layer off and protect what is left, right where the car is parked.

Headlight Restoration Jacksonville, FL

What it is, and why it matters.

Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a thin factory UV coat. Years of sun break that coat down, and the lens goes hazy, then yellow.

Cloudy lenses do more than look tired. They scatter the light, so you see less of the road at night.

Restoration removes the oxidized layer and brings back a clear lens, then seals it so it stays that way longer.

How it goes

Step by step.

  1. 01

    Inspect

We check whether the haze is on the outside (restorable) or inside the housing (not).

  2. 02

    Tape and remove

Paint protected, then the yellowed layer is taken off evenly.

  3. 03

    Polish

Machine polishing brings the lens back to clear.

  4. 04

    Seal

A UV-protective layer goes on so the sun has something to wear down besides the lens.

Restore or replace?

If the haze is on the outside, restoration usually beats a new housing on cost and time. Moisture or damage inside the housing is a replacement job, and we will say so.

Pair it with a detail

Clear lenses make the rest of the car look newer. Add headlight restoration to any full detail or exterior wash.

Questions

Headlight Restoration questions

How long does headlight restoration last?

It depends on sun exposure and how the car is stored.

A protected lens holds up far longer than a bare one, and keeping the car coated or garaged helps.

Can you fix fogging inside the headlight?

No. Condensation or haze inside the housing means a seal has failed, and that needs a new or resealed housing.

Is it worth it on an older car?

Usually, yes. It is one of the cheapest ways to make an older car look newer and see better at night.
